3D Pickup — scenario-driven, narrative-leaning

3D Pickup is one of the few passthrough catalogues built around scenario framing rather than format. Each scene has a stronger narrative setup than the typical AR studio — pre-act buildup, dialogue, scenario establishment.

Whether the studio works for you depends on whether you want narrative in AR content at all. Many passthrough viewers come for the room-integration effect and find narrative framing distracting; others find that narrative is what saves AR from feeling gimmicky. There is no middle ground here.

Production is mid-tier on a per-scene basis and the catalogue is 45 scenes — small enough to exhaust if the format works for you, large enough to give a real read on whether you want more.

Scenes are longer than the AR median (30–45 minutes typical) which fits the narrative format but means viewer fatigue is more of a factor than with shorter-form studios.
